There are about seven thousand living languages in the world. Among them, the English language is an international language that is spoken all over the world. It is spoken by more than 300 million native speakers, and between 400 and 800 million foreign users. Over the years, English has been of great importance to everyone. 

One main importance is that the world’s best books are written in the English language. So a person with sound knowledge of English can get great academic achievement in his career. These days, the youths are attracted to the world’s best universities for the good education. To reach there they need access to English language. “In many countries, children are taught and encouraged to learn English as a second language. Even in countries where it is not an official language, such as the Netherlands or Sweden, we will find many syllabi in science and engineering are written in English.” (Owlcation). So, English language is the key to the advanced education opportunity.

To enjoy the world class literature, one should understand the English language. To understand William Shakespeare, WB Yeats, Robert Foster, etc. English language is necessary. It also helps to understand and share the culture an traditions of people of other countries. To get the world literature platform one should have the knowledge of English language. It is said that Rabindra Naath Tagore got the Novel Prize due do the support of WB Yeats. To be a renowned literary figure world - wide, English language is necessary.

In addition to its importance in academic field, English is a means of international commerce; it has become increasingly essential for inter-state commerce and communication. “ English language comes to our aid in our commercial transactions throughout the globe.” ( Manivannan). One can’t imagine his or her business for the expansion globally without English language. It is the global passport to every part of the world. Without its knowledge, one cannot read the instructions written on many products or things that we use in our life. It is the official language of air transport and shipping; the leading language of international conference, technology, computers, commerce, employment, etc. To extend one’s business everywhere, English language is a must.

English language is accessible for getting the job opportunities. Well, knowing English will make you bilingual and more employable in every country in the world.” People use it as a tool of communication. In any organization, business firm , industries, etc. English has been common language. The person who has mastery over English language is prioritized for the job opportunities. A person can be benefited with the job of interpreter “All over the world, speaking English immediately opens up opportunities. Being able to communicate with foreign clients and business partners will provide you a more challenging position in your career.” ( English Domain). In some countries, English is not native language and official language. They need interpreters to develop the relations with other nations. To get job opportunities where native speaker can’t speak his own language, English language fulfills his or her need. 

In conclusion, we find the English language used in every aspect of our life so it has become an important language. To get an access to better education, spread business and better job opportunities one should possess the English speaking skill.
