What is Coronavirus?
Coronavirus disease is an infectious disease that can occur in humans and animals. It belongs to a family of viruses whose infection can cause serious problems ranging from common cold to shortness of breath.
What is COVID-19?
COVID-19 is the official name for coronavirus. The World Health Organization has given this name.
What are the symptoms of COVID-19?
The most common symptoms of COVID-19 are fever, fatigue and dry cough. Some patients may have problems like runny nose, sore throat and shortness of breath.
How does COVID-19 spread?
COVID-19 can spread from one person to another. If a COVID-19 sufferer coughs or exhales from his nose or mouth small droplets descend on surrounding objects and surfaces. When people touch these objects or surfaces and then touch their eyes, nose or mouth, this infection can spread in them as well.
What can I do to protect myself and prevent the spread of disease?
Wash your hands regularly with soap and water. Keep a distance of at least three feet from the person who is coughing or sneezing. Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth. Make sure that you and the people around you follow good respiratory hygiene.  This means covering your mouth and nose with your bent elbow or handkerchief when coughing or sneezing. Then immediately throw away the used handkerchief. Apart from this, you can also use masks and advise others to do the same. If you feel unwell, such as fever, phlegm, or trouble breathing, consult a doctor immediately.
How likely am I to catch COVID-19?
It depends where you are and especially around the place where there is an outbreak of COVID-19. The risk of being vulnerable to COVID-19 is still low for most people in most locations. Therefore, it is better to avoid needless movement anywhere and especially do not go to crowded areas.
Should I worry about COVID-19?
The disease caused by COVID-19 infection is generally mild, especially for children and adults. However, it can cause serious illness. One out of every five people who suffer from it needs care in the hospital.
Who is at risk of developing critical illness?
According to the research so far, COVID-19 increases the risk of catching the elderly and people suffering from high blood pressure, heart disease, lung disease, cancer or diabetes.
Are antibiotics effective in preventing or treating COVID-19?
No, antibiotics do not work against viruses, they only work on bacterial (bacterial) infections. COVID-19 is caused by the virus, so antibiotics do not work on it. Antibiotics should not be used as a means of prevention or treatment of COVID-19.
Is there any vaccine, drug or treatment of COVID-19?
No, vaccine or medicine hasn’t been developed yet to prevent COVID-2019 or to treat the infected person.
Is COVID-19 the same as SARS?
No, although both COVID-19 SARS are related to respiratory problems, the diseases caused by them are quite different.
Should I wear a mask for my protection?
If you are sick with COVID-19 symptoms (especially cough) or are caring for someone who is suffering from COVID-19, then wear a mask. Disposable face masks can only be used once. There is no need to wear a mask if you are not ill or in contact with someone who has a cough or cold.
How long is the incubation period for COVID-19?
The 'incubation period' means the time between catching the virus and the onset of symptoms of the disease. Most estimates of the incubation period of COVID-19 range from 1–14 days, typically around five days.
Can humans be infected with COVID-19 from any animal source?
Coronavirus is a large family of viruses, which are common in animals. Sometimes, people become infected with these viruses which can later spread to other people. To protect yourself from this do not visit the live animal markets and avoid direct contact with the animals.
How long does the virus survive on surfaces?
It is not certain how long the virus of COVID-19 survives on surfaces, but it behaves like other viruses. Studies suggest that coronavirus (COVID-19) can persist on surfaces for a few hours or several days. It can vary under different conditions (e.g. surface, temperature or humidity of the atmosphere).
Is there anything I shouldn't do?
The following measures can be harmful:
ü  Smoking
ü  Wearing multiple masks together
ü  Taking antibiotics
If you have a fever, cough and difficulty breathing, consult a doctor to reduce the risk of developing a more serious infection.
