A prepositional verb is a combination of a verb and a preposition. It is simply a verb followed by a preposition (prepositional verb = verb + preposition).

B. Use the following prepositional verbs in sentences.

apologize to- The supervisor apologized to his workers for his misbehavior . adapt to - We are supposed to adapt to the new system of the company. devote to - Maya seems to have devoted herself to a non-profit organization. refer to –The term 'accent' refers to pronunciation.

grow up – Her brother grew up in Kathmandu. escape from – We managed to escape from the burning train. recover from – Shyam hasn’t recovered from the death of his mother. resign from – He was forced to resign from the board in protest.
suffer from- Premature babies may suffer from breathing difficulties in childhood. separate from- South America separated from Africa 200 million years ago. worry about- He always worries about his weight. argue about – My two elder brothers always argue each other about politics.
